Tocoloshi tennis coaching is a unique way of coaching tennis encompassing the modern game and techniques of the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA). The Tocoloshi methodology also helps individuals explore their very own potential bringing out the best in them.

Tocoloshi tennis is a member of the United States Tennis Association and is comprehensively insured under the PTR cover so you can know that your coaching will be done in a safe and professional manner.

Tocoloshi tennis can be used as a way to learn tennis as a life skill, fine tuning your technique, tournament and match preparation, mental toughness, as a high energy way to getting fitter and as a way to make new friendships through tennis.

The man behind Tocoloshi is Bernard Ferrao from Zimbabwe who has more than 30 years of playing and over 18 years coaching tennis.

Bernard grew up playing tennis on the family clay court from the age of 5.

Bernard played for his high school team in Zimbabwe as well as for his province of Mashonaland. Bernie travelled to high school in the USA to Brighton, Colorado where he was Skyline League District Champion and went on to the Colorado State finals Championships.

He was also champion of his University in Wisconsin at Northland College for 3 consecutive years. This is where he also got his first true experiences of coaching and instructing others in the sport of tennis through a teaching assistantship.

Bernard has been Rackets Manager for the prestigious David Lloyd Club in Heston UK overseeing the tennis, squash, table tennis and badminton programs as well as Club Manager at Tennis England in Hamptons.

Bernard was instrumental in delivering lessons at the Westlake Village Inn Tennis Club formerley called the Pacific Tennis Club in Westlake California and has just been appointed as tennis pro at the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village, CA.

Bernard had been helping to deliver the Malibu Junior Excellence Program and private lessons at the Malibu Racquet Club in Malibu California.

In August 2011 Bernie finished as the Head tennis pro and Tennis Director on the 6 hard courts and 6 grass courts at the British Airways Concorde Tennis Club in London UK where he helped the club to achieve the coverted King of Clubs Award in 2010.

Bernard was also the senior club coach at the busy 3 outdoor carpet and 3 hard court Pensford Tennis Club in London which is Kew's best kept secret.
Bernard and the Tocoloshi brand have recently relocated the global headquarters from London UK to the Los Angeles area of California in 2011.
